Isn't religion everything God is against?

My dear you obviously suffer the curse of intelligence, however in fairness to "God", I see your problem as being dogma related, you are right of course and the same reasoning can be applied to all religious systems as they are essentially about control in the long run. CHeck out Pantheism it isnt for me but it may be of interest to you
