Need help with my kids history homework?

May I just say that this is the most stupid, meaningless exercise I ever heard of a teacher giving. If the story is really as you say and this is an exercise in sheer memorization without any context, you should seriously go complain to the principal. Memorizing a list of names is not going to do anything to help your child understand history -- it's just an empty pile of information to be promptly forgotten when the quiz is over.
